How can a natural gas supplier nominate gas for their customer pool?
An eligible supplier can access our Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) to nominate natural gas, access information on the current status of your nominations and confirm deliveries. A supplier must sign into the EBB using a previously supplied user/ID and password.

What is the main difference between the Interruptible Transportation (IT), Firm Transportation (FT) and Comprehensive Transportation and Balancing (CTB) service classifications?
A supplier is responsible for managing the customers gas usage and nominating an appropriate amount of gas for customers under FT and IT service classifications. The supplier is also cashed out on a monthly basis on their aggregate FT and IT pool. Both these service classifications are designed for larger volume commercial customers.
Comprehensive Transportation and Balancing (CTB) is a service whereby New Jersey Natural Gas supplies both transportation and balancing service. On a monthly basis, New Jersey Natural Gas provides daily-required nominations for a supplier’s aggregate pool of customers using its balancing service. Balancing services are provided for Comprehensive Transportation and Balancing (CTB), Small Commercial Rebundled (SCR), and Residential Transportation (RT).
What service classifications of customers require automatic meter reading devices installed on their natural gas meter?
Both the Firm Transportation (FT) and Interruptible Transportation (IT) service classifications require automatic meter reading devices. These service classifications are designed for larger volume commercial customers.
What can the Small Commercial Rebundled (SCR) service classification be used for?
Any commercial customer using less than 5,000 therms annually is eligible for this transportation service classification. Customers are only charged one demand level charge under this service classification.

How can a natural gas supplier obtain customer usage history?
The customer's account number is a required field to obtain a customer's usage history.
EDI suppliers must request usage history through EDI according to EDI protocols.
A non-EDI supplier can obtain customer usage history through our Electronic Bulletin Board using a previously supplied user/ID and password.
Does NJNG require eligible natural gas suppliers to utilize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) protocols to conduct business?
