New Jersey Natural Gas has made a commitment to do our part to save energy and help protect the environment. Join us and take the ENERGY STAR Change a Light Pledge to change at least one light at home to an energy-efficient one. It's a small step that can make a big difference. Take your efforts even further by replacing five bulbs and helping the state to meet its goal of changing 20,000 bulbs by the end of the year.
New Jersey's Clean Energy Program is encouraging residents statewide to switch to ENERGY STAR qualified lighting and energy-efficient light fixtures such as compact fluorescent light bulbs*. These lights, which comes in a variety of styles, use 75 percent less energy and last up to 10 times longer helping to reduce energy usage, protect the environment and save you money.
If every American home replaced just one light bulb or fixture with an ENERGY STAR bulb, every year we would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes, more than $600 million in energy costs and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars.
Change a light – change the world.
