Commercial customers who use more than 5,000 therms annually are billed under the monthly Basic Gas Supply Service (BGSS) pricing. The monthly BGSS price is based on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) monthly market settlement price. This applies to commercial customers who have not chosen a third-party supplier. The price for the natural gas commodity is passed on directly to customers with no profit included for NJNG.
