Today's energy services can be tailored to meet a customer's unique needs. By separating traditionally packaged natural gas services into two distinct services - commodity and transportation - customers can design the right energy portfolio for their business. That means you can now buy your natural gas supply separately from your natural gas transportation. And, as a New Jersey Natural Gas customer who is using another energy supplier, you may benefit from our specialized transportation services.
We offer three commercial firm transportation services. Please ask your natural gas supplier which service best fits your needs.
Comprehensive Transportation and Balancing (CTB)
This service classification was designed for commercial customers with large natural gas usage patterns such as laundromats, pizzerias and restaurants. Their gas loads typically reflect their type of classification.
Small Commercial Rebundled (SCR)
A specially priced firm transportation service designed for commercial customers who use less than 5,000 therms of natural gas annually. Local pharmacies, florists and gift shops typically have this natural gas usage profile.
Firm Transportation (FT)
Customers who choose this service must assure the delivery of natural gas to the New Jersey Natural Gas system, and either closely manage their daily usage or have their supplier manage their usage. An automatic meter reading device is required for Firm Transportation customers.
