Payment Options

Payment Arrangements

We understand that there are times when our customers may not be able to provide full payment for their bills by the due date. If you have past due bills, you can make payment arrangements through My Account Information using our online Deferred Payment Agreement (DPA) and pay off your total balance in monthly increments. To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Balance must be no older than 60 days past due.
  • Must have made at least one payment in the past 90 days.
  • Account cannot be inactive due to non-payment.
  • You cannot have had another DPA in the last six months.

If you do not meet the requirements listed above, please call us at 1-800-221-0051 or send us an e-mail at customerservice@njng.com. We can discuss special payment arrangements with you to bring your account up to date and check if you qualify for programs that install weatherization measures in your home free of charge.

Please keep in mind that collection efforts are made on past-due accounts without payment arrangements in place. As time passes and balances remain unpaid, efforts intensify and may result in discontinuance of service for nonpayment. Customers are urged to set up a Deferred Payment Agreement or contact us to avoid collection efforts.
