If you’ve been stranded without power due to storms and other disruptions, and are considering a natural gas backup generator, let New Jersey Natural Gas help you get started. Prior to your purchase and installation, please complete and either e-mail or fax (732-919-8081) the Backup Emergency Generator Form to our Marketing Services department. We want to ensure that our natural gas meter and service line from the street are adequate to supply your generator’s natural gas needs.

Once we receive your completed form, a Marketing consultant will contact you within 10 business days to discuss your generator installation requirements. In the event NJNG requires upgrading your meter and/or service, charges may apply.  Please allow four to six weeks for upgrade work to be completed.
