REPAIRS, DEMOLITIONS AND HOUSE RAISINGS
Please be advised that in the most heavily damaged areas of the coast, NJNG is continuing the process of restoring natural gas service to homes affected by Superstorm Sandy. If you anticipate immediately occupying your home, please contact NJNG at 800-221-0051 to make the necessary arrangements to get your natural gas service turned back on from the street to your meter. Please plan to provide us with two to six weeks lead time, which is how long the process will take.
If you are raising, demolishing or repairing your house and DO NOT require natural gas service at this time, please contact NJNG at 800-221-0051 so that the natural gas service to your home is not restored. In order to demolish or elevate your home, the natural gas service MUST BE retired to ensure the safety of the workers and the community. Please click here for additional information.
As New Jersey residents continue on the path to recovery after Hurricane Sandy, we want to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers. NJNG is working hard to provide important information and resources to those who have experienced or continue to experience the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy. To that end, we have compiled a list of community resources that offer support and services to those affected and ways you can help make a difference where it is needed most.
Also, please take note of the rebates available to help make high-efficiency equipment replacement more affordable. NJNG’s The SAVEGREEN Project® offers a $900 enhanced rebate - in addition to the WARMAdvantage rebate offered through New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program™ (NJCEP) - for the installation of qualified energy-efficient natural gas heating equipment. Additionally, these rebates can be combined with enhanced NJCEP rebates available to those who have incurred damages as a result of Superstorm Sandy.
